Featured one of your drawings, and several of Pete's outstanding PST captures in their solar section.
they are both superb examples of what can be achieved with dedication to one's "art"..
Nice one guys!

Thanks guys and thanks for letting me know, Nick. I had someone email me not long ago asking if he could use a sketch for an article he was writing for that magazine. The Feb 11th was the one he asked about. Is that what you see in the magazine?
And congrats to you, Pete.

Hi Erika
It is indeed. For anyone stateside, this magazine is available globally on subscription only, and also Erika and a few others here regularly submit to the BAA (British Astronomical Association) newsletter (solar section)
As the weather in the UK is currently appalling (and has been for months, we are currently having 80+ mph winds here, and have been living under the jetstream for what seems like forever), all contributions from the USA, Australia or anywhere that the weather is better are more than welcome.

Thanks!
Nick, I appreciate the info about the sketch.
As for the BAA solar newsletter, I really appreciate receiving it via pdf. It's a great monthly synopsis of what's going on with the Sun, collected from observers' reports and images/sketches.

Nice work. FWIW, Kevin Smith writes the regular column "Kevin's Sun SPot" and it really is an excellent read. Kevin's own website is here: http://www.siriusobservatoriesuk.com/ Regards,

He is also the UK supplier of the Daystar systems, and has years of solar experience... well worth knowing, nice bloke too!

Thanks guys.
I didn't know he was a supplier of Daystar systems in the UK.
Did you guys check out that "tree house" observatory? Can you imagine how much concrete was needed to build the pier?!
He's also a supplier for Sirius, I see.
