My wife's away on a course this weekend which means that I'm probably not going to get any sleep at all Jupiter was on the cards this morning and a fantastic sight it was too. Then it went cloudy then it cleared .

Wow - AR11024 is looking great at the moment and a real problem to image because the intensity of the central region.

Great shot Pete! I've had the same problem, either the surface is too dim or the AR is too bright, nice to see some real activity though.

Thanks Paul. Actually, I think I had Registax set for Jupiter image processing so I'll have to re-do that one shortly. Yes the dynamic range is huge with this one!

Very nice capture Pete! My mrs is away tomorrow so I suspect i'll be in a similar situation to you to Incidentally I got my first view of Jupiter last night which I was pleased with.

It's a fantastic planet Mark and I'm really enjoying imaging it almost properly for the first time. 25 degrees is still quite low but it is possible to pull out the detail...
