Has anyone removed the CCD glass cover on their DMK camera to get rid of the Newton Rings? If so was it an easy or tuff job?

No, and I'm not sure it wouldd "work" anyway.
I have minor problems with Newton's Rings at high focal ratios but they "disappear" automatically when I process the AVI ... because of residual drift in my imperfectly aligned mount.
