I used it for 3 months after it's initial delivery and came to the conclusion, after comparing it with a PST, that it was not performing as it should. It wasn't doing any better than the PST and maybe a little worse. During the wait I called Meade several times to check on the status and at one point they told me the Etalon was sub-par. The paper work that came back said the Etalon was repaired and the optics were cleaned. This is the first scope I ever purchased. All my others scopes are home made so I never had to deal with this before. Has anyone had any warranty service this extensive from Meade? If so what were the results? It's cloudy here today and it's suppose to be raining the rest of the week so It's going to be a while before I can check it for myself. Ggggrrrrrrrr........... Anyone want guess on how well it will perform? The winner gets to buy me a beer. On second thought maybe I should buy the winner a beer.
