I just happened to catch a break in the weather...
First and foremost the AR stood out like a sore thumb and I could tell by the brightness in 2 areas of the plage, it was flaring...When I came inside I confirmed it on GOES, she's a blowing!!!

I had a look today before the sun was down and the plage was very obvious and bright! It is nice to see a good active region once again. I also noticed that there was a really tall and thin spike prominence that was taller than I have seen previously. Hopefully someone can snap some great shots!
