I have been plagued by bad weather and light pollution at every observing opurtunity in that last 4 months. I don't even know if I'll recognize the contellations when I finally see thenm again. I am super busy and I travel alot, so my observing sessions have been scattered around. It seems I have had a dark cloud over me... literally! ... any ways I hope clear skies are ahead. Matt

How long does an "abnormal" weather pattern have to persist to become "normal"?
I've at least got some clear sky - in fact it's very good indeed but only between towering CuNim anvils which have showered on me 7 times already tonight, including a couple of rain showers when the sky was essentially clear. And the wind has dropped from force 7 with gusts to 9 to force 5 with gusts to 7 or 8 ...

Probably about thirty years since the weather service usually uses averages that long for our area.

It has been here too! Although I have been able to get out some this fall.

We have had one low pressure system after another bringing low clouds.
Last winter I went from November till March without being able to observe. Few more years and Arizona here I come.

Had loads of clear nights here during August and September. The beginning of October was okay but November has been a complete write-off, with the weather systems queueing up in the Atlantic to dump yet more rain on us.
