I ask because with that gold ring in place the Mallincam is different than a number of other similar looking video cameras. With products around like Scopestuff's C adapter it would be nice to be able to quickly verify that they had a chance of working or not. Plus with the thread information we would be better prepared to have a conversation with someone offering any form of adapter/connector. The following exchange does tend to grow tiresome ...
