If you have cable, check out the Discovery Channel right now. There is a new episode called "Cosmic Collisions" that will talk about asteroids and meteorites.

It's on as I type this...

False alarm perhaps. I might have misread the episode summary. So far, I haven't seen anything about meteorites.

Ok, here's the scoop - I just exchanged emails with Geoff Notkin, and he said this Cosmic Collisions series was filmed in 3 episodes. One of these episodes is about meteorites and has extensive footage with Geoff and Steve Arnold at the Brenham site and at Geoff's collection in Tucson. It's not to be missed. Unfortunately, Discovery Channel is airing them out of sequence. So I am not sure which episode of the 3 will be about the meteorites. When Geoff finds out, he is going to let me know and I will pass it along. Tonights episode was about galactic collisions, gamma ray bursts, and non-meteorite subjects.
