The monthly publication has posted at my website, entitled Art & Artists of the Universe. This is Part One and it briefly follows the genre from Verne to Bonestell. Enjoy: Art and Artists of the Universe
Nice article. I am quite interested in this history as I recently discovered my own art pastel sketching abilities while posting many times to sites such as Spaceweather.com, George Noory's Coast to Coast, and once in Astronomy Picture of the Day; conversely I have had a couple of photographs published and awarded in Astronomy magazine some years ago and the same photograph commissioned for use on a CD cover in London(see my CN Gallery) but I now find the pastel sketching much more involved and intuitive.
Thanks for posting this link to the article. I enjoyed it wholeheartedly.
Thank you for the kind words regarding the article. As a person who never really wanted to be a wrtier I seem to have fallen into an over abundance of it-go figure! In fact, I've halted other school work for a bit in order to bone up on my English comp, as such, I hope my efforts are worthy of those who do read it.
I made a pit stop by your gallery and will be visiting it a little more in the future as your work seems to merge with a few different genres--very nice to see--and I will be writing about the modern form soon.
