Sue French in Celestial Sampler..."the double star hll23...marks the northwest edge of the cluster's core". Robert Garfinkel in Star Hopping..."...the brightest stars,...are in the center of the cluster and form a box-shaped asterism. On the southeastern corner of the box you can find double star h1123". Is h1123 northwest or southeast M34 core's edge. Can anyone clear this up for me. I feel good about that because my copy of Celestial Sampler was signed by Sue at NEAF two years ago. I enjoy knowing as much as I can about the objects I'm observing, the more details the better.
