Shine On Harvest Moon...
      #3426992 - 11/03/09 08:43 AM Attachment (19 downloads)

...at least I think it's the Harvest Moon. Maybe the Hunter's Moon? Anyway, a long time since I posted here. Canon D-reb, 200mm lens, shot on auto. Adjusted levels in PS.

Hi Tom - hows things - long time no see here. Excellent pic. Its the "hunters" or "frost" moon apparently depending which variant you use, "harvest" being last months this year (first after autumn equinox)

Hi Tony. Still moving to the new homestead, which is where this photo was taken - from my front porch. By this spring I hope to have an observatory constructed and plan on jumping in with the astro photography thing again. I still look at this forum, but as you know don't post much. I was glad to snap this pic, though.

So the Harvest moon can be in September. Wasn't sure, I assumed it was the full moon in October. Oh well, it was cloudy for this year's Harvest moon
