Hi all,
last Saturday night I went to work on my undergrad project (photometry of the SX Phx star CY Aqr), on Wednesday I got around to analyze the photos I took and some didn't get analyzed automatically in MAXIM DL. when I went over them one by one I noticed that there is a small streak just under "my star". I had it for ~30 sec, moving at ~9" a second (10 3 sec exposures).
A zip file with the photos is available at: http://physics.bgu.ac.il/FreeWebSite/bernat/V.zip
A friend who is a professional NEA lurker told that no asteroid was suppose to be there at that time. after some basic calculations I estimate that it is at an altitude of ~50,000 KM, passing 218 degrees a day. from the photo's I estimate that it was about mag 13 (it's about as bright as a the 15 mag reference star but smear over an arc). I have tried asking about satellite DB but with no luck. Any chance one of you could help me out?
the photos were taken using a MEADE 16" LX200R, a MEADE F 6.3 focal reducer and a MEADE DSI III camera. Each pixel spans 0.564".
The brightest star in the center is CY Aqr coordinates: 22:37.47.9 +01:32:4.0 time of photo: 17:46:52 UTC 31-10-2009
A reffrence map from the AAVSO site: http://mira.aavso.org/cgi-bin/vsp.pl?action=render&name=CY+Aqr&ra=&dec=&charttitle=&chartcomment=&aavsoscale=Choose&fov=15&resolution=100&maglimit=&north=up&east=left&othervars=&chartid=&Submit=Plot+Chart

Hey Amir,
I come up with a similar apparent motion. The only way to properly tell if you object in in a geocentric of heliocentric orbit is to have several observations and use some software like Find_Orb
http://www.projectpluto.com/find_orb.htm
With a apparent motion like your object it is almost certainly a man-made object in Earth orbit, even of the databases don't turn up an immediate answer.
