Deep M1 Crab Neb new
      #3447867 - 11/14/09 01:52 PM Attachment (73 downloads)

This image represents my best efforts in both photon gathering and processing.
I am not sure if my equipment can do any better or not. I spent a lot of time setting up, getting perfect focus, collecting lights, and processing.
I used several layer masks to process the image in many parts. I processed the star field, nebula cloud, and several different colors for the veins in seperate layers, with hide all/reveal all masks for each to blend everything together.
I am very happy with the way this image turned out. After getting a taste of the object last month, I wanted to see if I could get the webby structure inside the neb to resolve. It turned out pretty good !

That's a great shot of M1 with the subtle interplay of colors in the nebula. Really outstanding!

I love the star colors.
