Hi folks,
Here are two astro shots taken during my Nepal trip.
Moonlit Annapurna mountain range and startrails, taken at Ghandruk village, Nepal. The 3 main mountains visible in the picture are, from left to right, Annapurna South-7219m, Hiunchuli-6441m and Machhapuchhre(the Fishtail)-6995m:

Taken at Ghandruk village, Nepal. Note the "V" shape pattern formed by the milkyway and Gegenschein. The reddish and greenish tints on the bottom are the airglow. Also note the main deepsky objects like the Andromeda Galaxy, the Double Cluster, the California Nebula and the Pleides. The mountain on the bottom left is the Fishtail mountain:

Images taken with Canon 50D and Tokina 11-16mm lens.

What nice images and location!!!
I hope to visit the place someday.
Did you carry the tracking mount from Pokhara to Ghandruk? It must be felt very heavy on your back there.

Yeah each of us carried at least 15kg of luggage during the 7-day trekking, intending to take as many snowmountain+starry sky pictures as possible, but ended up with only 1 clear night, bad luck...

Great shot over the mountains. I wish I had backgrounds like that to shoot over.

Sorry for the typo, it's Eyebell CD-1, a Janpanese portable tracking mount, you can refer to the link below:

Fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime photos! Especially like the shot with Machhapuchhre (always wanted to go there)!
Regarding the last photo (of Machhapuchhre), you didn't happen to take a second, non-rotating image of the mountain, too? Blending a stationary Machhapuchhre image with the image you posted would be really cool.

Saw the Everest on the plane. Actually we managed to see all the 9 mountains above 8000m visible in Nepal on our flight back to Singapore. Really cool.

One question guys, can you clearly see the V shape formed by the milkyway and the Gegenschein? My laptop screen is a few years old and might not display color and contrast properly.
Here's another version of the Gegenschein photo with clearer mountain silhouette:
