out of no where celestron 9.25 wont sit correct on my tripod. I no longer hear that click before I screw in the 3 bolts. bottom wont lineup correct. Any ideas whats happening.

You try making sure the bottom clutch knob was tight? If it's loose, the base wont turn and the "keyed" areas wont fall into the holes.

Check the center pin if it is high or low that will cause a problem

if the pin is high or low what do you do to fix the problem

It is the same pin/rod that holds the accessory tray on the tripod. There is a lock nut where it comes thru the tripod just loosen that and you should be able to adjust it one way or the other as needed. Than just tighten the nut to lock it back in place
