VSI Motorized Zerotator - Any comments? Details?
      #5299030 - 07/02/12 08:30 AM

Hi all,

I have a very small remaining back focus I'd like to use for a motorized rotator. Currently, I have the TAK camera angle adaptor which occupies about 44mm I think. I have about 5-8mm left of back focus.

I see most of these motorized rotators occupy quite a large space, and normally more than my available space. The TAKOmeter thing will not adapt to my focuser (12.5" CDK with TAK thread), so that is out.

I spotted the VSI Zerotator, but information on the VSI site has few specification details and a limited number of pictures showing aspects. A CAD drawing of the unit would have been great.

What is LA's software like? Does anyone have experience with this unit?

Very few sites showing this unit?! Is there another thin motorized rotator I should look at?

The unit looks what I am after, may be just need to jump in and try?

Thanks for any comments.

Steve
