Great images.
I appreciate that. Wait till you see what the lowly sub $200 GF1 can do when I get it back from being modified by life pixel.
These cameras have completely changed the way I view. Since I am almost always letting children view through my scope I struggle with the fact that they almost always lean on the scope and move it.
With the video output I can just bring a nice sized LCD TV with me and have them view from a safe distance from the scope.

M57 The Ring ...Panasonic GH2 Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens camera AT8IN 8" F4.0 Scope with AT Coma Corrector No filters 60 Seconds ISO 1600 Cloudy Conditions
Interesting results from Panny incl M57 - nice to see other cams, other than MC, getting a look-in
Here's my M57 in 20sec exp from Monday night in late twilight via M12+Lodestar-C - ok I have tweak it in PSP

Here's more snaps via my 12" SCT+SX Lodestar under gibbous moon of M57 full res/cropped field in 2s, 3s, 10s, 60s exp and M27 full frame rescaled x0.56 in 1s, 5s, 10s, 60s exp
The cam stays permanently on the 12" SCT and often focus is just fine on next session may be days later - a focus tweak needed on temperature change!
The scope's EFL = ~1130mm [44.5" via f/3.3 focal reducer] and well matched to the cam's pixel size so that the blurring effects of 'seeing' can be largely ignored. Only on targets below 20 deg altitude does atmospheric refraction cause a slight prismatic effect that stretches stars vertical to the local horizon

Took this pic of the M57 with my Samsung SCB2000 with a 4 1/2 " Konus 500 telescope ... got it for 25$ at the flea market . The Pic was captured off my PC ... the pic shows what I saw on the screen .
I was using it on my New home made stand just to test it out and see if it might be anygood for Video astronomy .
The Gain was set to LOW and the Sen_Up was 512 .
I would say the video was about the same as I could see in My 12" newt through the eye piece .. in the Konus the M57 through the eye piece was steler ... at first I didn't even know if it was it .. with some serious magnification it look just like a puffy dot .
Its amazing what a Video Camera can do .... still waiting to hook my 12" newt to the new stand and see what happens .

Here's a couple - unpretty but interesting.
First is M57 that I've posted in the CCD forum. The second is a PI screenshot for mag 15.1 seyfert 1 galaxy at 08:15:16.77 +46:04:33.8, next to the bear paw galaxy. The white dots are hot pixels (no noise removal here for beauty!). The MGC galaxy is taken from a 16884x16884 6GB image.. oddly the 28KB crop isn't quite as nice..
Both using a 4" apo with 2x PM giving 1340mm focal length.

Wait. What telescope was that with? That is amazing detail especially if that is a smaller telescope.

Both images are with my Pentax 105 SDP. Which is a 105mm (4") apo. Native 670mm fl, with the 2x it' running at 0.88 arcsec/px - below the 1.14 arcsec/px dawes limit.

How much cropping was done? Your sensor is about a 2x crop factor. I am surprised to see that image scale with a fairly large sensor and a relatively short focal length.

edit edited, to correct wrong sub as noted by Dan below.:
Yes the M57 was with the ATIK. 11 subs (ten 300 second, one) taken from my back garden (no permanent mount).
The image above is a crop from the processing output image (13485x10179 64bit). To give a scale to frame I've included a downsized 800x600 image that's been auto-streched. All processing using Pixinsight.
I used my own 4x4 drizzle using PI along with other processing.

The close up of M57 is a crop of the image above?? If so, that's amazing! The amount of detail is impressive for such short subs and wide field.
