Hi,

There was a asteroid/comet strike in the Great Lakes region. National Geographic had an excellent article on it. Maybe try their website. My father used to observe and be able to point out the exact location of the sunset over the Sierras throughout the year.

clear skies,

Paul

I never read anything about the migrations within the Americas or the comet event, but I should...any good books on the subject?

There is an excellent article on the theoretical "Clovis Comet" here. http://allendale-expedition.net/publications/comet.pdf
