getting kids excited about astronomy

In belated celebration of Galilean Nights and in celebration of IYA in general, SmartBean has written an article called 10 Reasons Why Your Child Will Love Astronomy. It's aimed at introducing parents to astronomy as something fun and informative they can do with their kids, and it lists a number of kid-friendly astronomy resources that can be found on the web.

That is a good article! I like the approach and it certainly helps clear away some of the fears like expense, what to get, etc. Any interest in science is important. It's a fun hobby and you never know when you might discover something big (like McNeil's Nebula, etc.)
