I was trying to stack some planet images (made on a ccd), in registax, and basically I have achieved nothing. Firstly, registax apparently cannot debayer M25C images (registax 5 could debayer half of them, and then completely fail on another half of the frames). So I get the color out in maxim dl. Now registax doesn't detect color. Says they're black and white, while stretching in maxim produces brownish colors with ease. Once I stack them in registax, I get one of three things: a) nothing, aka a black square b) black and white ball, meaning the color was lost c) a green ball, meaning that it can, apparently, only see green.
Anyone have an idea what's going on? I got ~800 ccd frames here waiting to be stacked, and registax is being a complete pain.

Are you using a 32bit FIT file or 16bit? Use Maxim dl to save the 32bit as a 16bit, if you haven't already tried that.

I tried with both 16 and 8 bit fit formats, got nothing. If I load a single frame the 32 bit format, I get the blank square. IEEE float - loads only the green channel. 16 bit - only the green channel. 8 bit - only the green again.
