Hello,

Bought a used SS Pro recently did this test shot that shows allot of cold pixels Would like to get opinions on how much trouble this is going to be down the road Seems like a
Dark subtract seems not to remove them...

Try applying a flat and see if that helps.

OK...These are artifacts from the USB download...With Maxim DL you can control the download speed from 1-8. TO get a clean download I have to run it at 2. So it takes about 22seconds to download one image But like last PM I used a total of 6 minutes for 16 images to download

I got this from the Yahoo user group for the Star Shoot Pro

Nebulosity does not have a download control switch for the ascom drivers however

Thats interesting...I never knew Maxim had that kind of control..I mean,I knew Maxim did everything..but actually slow down the D/L speed,THAT is cool.AND good to know.Thanks Greg!

Even under the setup menu for the Orion SS II in Maxim DL there is a download selection for speed Only 2 though not 1-8
