Jupiter in the trees new
      #3428097 - 11/03/09 07:32 PM Attachment (21 downloads)

Nothing special compared to a lot on here but it is my first digital astrophoto, taken just a bit ago in my driveway under a full moon with my new Canon XS DSLR, shot at f/4.0, ISO 800, 30 seconds at 18mm focal length. If you know where to look, Neptune is also visible in this picture, as well as M73.

Cool! The warm glow of the trees against the cool blue sky makes a nice effect. Nice shot James

Nice image. I like the red tree. Gives it a warm and autumn feeling.

Thanks guys. I've been playing with DSS a bit trying it out and took 10 images and 10 darks and stacked them, and with a bit of adjustment in Digital Photo Professional this is what came out. I don't like it but at least I am learning a bit about the software and the basics of how you guys do this stuff.
