Europe dark site maps new

anybody know where i could find some dark site maps or light pollution maps for europe??

There is one from 2002 but it has got worse since then.

Not entirely convinced it's gotten that much worse. Suburbanization, for example, has, to some degree, stopped. Then in a lot of former eastern block countries, a lot of industries shut down as well.
Air quality's gone up a lot due to the industries shutting down, so that's an additional factor.

It's probably worse, but not to the degree one would imagine, and probably not at the rate of change one can see in, say, the US.

The World Atlas of the Artificial Night Sky Brightness has light pollution maps.

shame we don`t have those nice zoomable maps like they have for the US regions i`d really like to see bit more detail.

The high res map has as much detail as the us one.
There's also a google earth overlay out there, but I can't find the link at the moment.

Those aren't measurements. They're guesstimates.

And they rely on trends that might not behave as they did in the 70s-90s stretch.

This is just an extrapolation which are usually very unreliable. The worst thing is that many companies are using upward lighting (beamers, billboard lighting) which is far worse than the usual downward street and security lighting.
