TEC 180 FL Review new
      #4629146 - 06/08/11 10:09 PM

Can anyone provide any visual reviews on the TEC 180FL ?
Is it just very good on planets , double stars and the Moon ?
How does it begin to perform on DSO's ?

How does it compare to other scopes ?

Thank You for your input

I'd check the TEC Yahoo group.

It is a stunning performer, beautiful to look at and through and is an equal to any APO that I have ever used.
Sharp contrast, excellent resolution and wonderful mechanics.

My brief review of mine:

http://www.buytelescopes.com/Products/10460-Telescope-Engineering-Company-tec-180-fluorite-oiled-triplet-refractor.aspx

In short, an amazing telescope. It is jaw dropping, not to be matched by anything else at binoviewer cruising through the summer milkyway. Now I know why Bowman proclaimed "The thing's hollow—it goes on forever—and—oh my God—it's full of stars!" He wasn't talking about the monolith, he was looking through a binoviewer equiped TEC 180FL.
