Hello friends,
here is my "newest" combination. A very fine russian TAL 100R refractor ( Steinheil-designed achromat ) on an old Mizar mount. I mentioned this Mizar mount in afew other posts. Now I have refurbished it and it was ready for setup. The Mizar mount was once sold with a 6" newtonian. This mount maybe dated from 1973/74 as GALAKUMA told to me. Its a very fine and heavy mount - I love it. The TAL 100R is not a classic scope - I know, BUT : its a very nice performer and so well made, that its quality reminds to vintage telescope-building...no plastics, all solid metall !
Regards, Michael

Very nice classic look. The old Mizar mounts were great mounts.

The mount is really very nice and rock-stable. The TAL 100R is a goog partner for it. Yesterday I tried to attach my old Lichtenknecker 80/1200 refractor. The LK is much heavier than the TAL 100R, but the Mizar mount laughed about it ! I love this mount !

Hi AaronM.
Yore telescope is nice setting,I think.
I have same style telescope "half a classic - Mizar meets Kenko".
I had only mount of CX-150,And I made original old-style tripod.I arranged the tube of Kenko 200mmF4.5 like CX-150.
CX-150 mount is good.
