Zork: The Movie
      #2565278 - 08/06/08 11:53 PM

Most movies would be best posted in the OTO - but not this one (if there were a Geriatric Forum, it would go there! )

For those who never played games with the Commodore 64, Sinclair, Atari 520, TRS-80, and so forth, this will mean nothing.

But Zork, a very popular, zany, and well-constructed text-only game of the '80s is to become a movie. I'm not making this up...

I've got to see a perfect game of Zork.

The Grue kept eating me.

It is pitch black, you will most likely be eaten by a Grue.

Good stuff that, played on an apple][ back in ?86? I love how far gaming's come, but there will always be a soft spot for the old-school stuff.

I still have a complete collection of the Scott Adams adventures on CASSETTE. They're in the original package which is an album like folder with cutouts for the individual cassettes. The format was Atari (Atari 400/800).

That takes me back a good 30 years or so.

I had a bunch of those on cassette for the Atari 400/800 as well. I spent lots of time waiting for the tape to load to play a game. I was glad when I finally got a disk drive for the thing.
