hi,
last night i could catch the leo-tiplett , in the background, you can observe 6-7 other galaxies. one of them ist called 12763 in catalogue of principial galaxies.but i cannot find informations.i want look for the distance.

can anyone help ?

Nice photo! I believe the "12763" is actually "IC 2763" according to Wikisky.org. The Caltech link from Bill indicates a distance of about 26 MPc which is about 83 million light years. Based on redshift. Seems from the photo like it is farther than that or else it is not a large galaxy.
