Hi guys. Based on the laptop screen image during capture and visual observation though the eyepiece I still have to call the seeing conditions poor - average. I'm happy with the result based on that. I knew seeing was better than the first session, so the result would be better, but I didn't expect quite this much improvement. I'm going to use this thread to post the results of different settings with my new camera and processing methods. All images were taken 09-22-07 0115 -0130 UT, 8in SCT 2x barlow
This was shot at 30fps in UYVY. K3ccd to sort/stack files (ended up with 552 frames stacked) and create 3 FIT files stacked in Registax. Very light processing done in wavelets 1 and 2 with filter on Gaussian and scheme Dyadic. Brought blue down two, green one and didn't touch red. Adjust the contrast in PSP 8. Gamma, Brightness and Hue left untouched. Like I said, very little over all processing. Image is at 100% scale
