On my Nexstar it bothers the heck out of me when viewing the moon. How long does it take a Mak to cool down? My SCT takes about an hour to stabilize once I've taken it outdoors. And what about various problems I've seen reported on this as well as other forums regarding the plastic gears going south on these ETX's? What I certainly don't need is more problems to deal with.
