that's correct on the 3246 tripod Erik. I bought mine used from an Astromart seller, and it is not as tall as the current. A good point I forgot to mention.
And now that I see the models #s, I must have used a wrong # for my extra heavy duty non fluid head. It's not 3046. I'll check it when I get home.
We have some other tripod and mount posts like this and they most definitely all need to be gathered into one group in the best of.
