Here's my first foray into the refractor side of the universe, a Celestron 102 f/5. Just got it this afternoon, and waiting for night...(tick..tock..tick..tock)
I took a few pics of it next to it's big step-brother, my Obsession 15 (see next post below). Quite a difference in aperture, as you can see, but I have a feeling that the little guy will be getting used a LOT more than the reflector. I never thought I'd want a small grab-n-go, but realizing that I only take out the Obsession (to a dark sky site) on average of once per month, I figured I could use one.
PS..please, no comments about the 'expensive' mount! Actually one of the reasons I decided on this scope was the tripod-ready adapter. I'm sure I'll upgrade soon, but for now, this will have to do.
