Find a Falling Star is THE book to have for inspirational reading about finding meteorites. It is the autobiographical account of Harvey Nininger, the "father" of modern meteoritics. Nininger was a founding member of teh Meteoritical Society, the scientific body which studies meteorites. Completely non-technical. You can get a copy for about $50.00 from Ed Thompson.
Aother great book is William Cassidy's Meteorites, Ice and Antartica. Cassidy is the founder of ANSMET - Antartic Search for Meteorites. Only the second part is technical.
A third non-technical book is Meteorite Hunter: The Search for Siberian Meteorite Craters by Roy Gallant. Very easy reading. Relaxed and conversational style of writing.
