Before I finished up my big P-Mount for my 20x110's, I was using a Oberwerk wooden surveyor's tripod with a Manfrotto 3263 geared head, with a weight capacity of about 22 lbs.. now I use it for my SV Nighthawk NHNG 80mm scope. For smaller bino's, my combo is a 475 tripod with a smaller/midsize Monfrotto 3275/Bogen 410 geared head, which works with all my smaller 80mm and smaller bino's. I love the geared heads, makes it easy to track smoothly.

Some telescopes from a Stellarvue 80mm NHNG up through a couple of 8” reflectors…
