I bought one of these from Orion back in the 1990's. They were made by hand by a gentleman in the San Francisco Bay area. New price was around $600. They, as the picture shows, are big and heavy. It works very well. There is a movable wood weight to counter-balance any binocular that will fit. I, use/ed Fujinon 7x50's and 10x50's. I am 6'4" and the mount is high enough for me to stand and look vertically through my binoculars. The mount uses a screw to hold the binoculars. The entire unit consists of 2 pieces of wood(tri-pod base and parallelogram top-each about 5'+ long--portable, but heavy. It is best binocular mount I have seen, but heavy and expensive.
