David-
I'm having a bit of difficulty following your pictures, or should I say- intrepreting them properly. In pic 2 & 3, it appears you're showing a binocular adapter (we'll call it adaptor #1) that is poorly designed, in that it is so wide as to cause problems fitting the bino attachment area. While it might work with a few, it will not work with many bino's due to its large width, as you note. The 4th picture shows a better design bino adaptor (we'll call this adaptor #2), in that it is narrow enough to fit all your binoculars properly. The 5th picture, however, appears that you're trying to mount the 2nd bino adaptor to the 1st bino adaptor, which won't work! If indeed you are trying to utilize both adaptors, that won't work. One or the other. The FarSight mount is a good mount, expensive as noted, (I own one) but is really simply a fancy version of your adaptor #2. It mounts the same way to your tripod/parallelogram mount head- or whatever you're mounting it to. So purchasing a Far Sight mount won't give you any mounting option you don't currently have. You should use adaptor #2 to mount your bino's to your P-mount. I don't see you needing adaptor #1. It appears that is what Orion provided, and is poorly designed in that it is too wide. I would contact Orion, and forward them your pictures as well. I initially thought you needed to turn the bino's 90 degrees, so they pointed perpendicular to the parallelogram arms, but went to the Orion site and looked at the mount and see that with their parallelogram, they indeed do show the bino pointing in line with the arms... so you need to somehow be able to mount bracket/adaptor #2 to your mount instead of #1. Picture 5 looks like what you want to end up with, only you need to turn it 180 degrees, so the threads are pointing in the other direction.
