Here's my solution....drilled out the tapped 1/4-20 in the P-mount block and used the socket head bolt to secure the L adapter supplied with the binoculars. Works great!
Also note the copper washer between the L bracket and bino. This helped stop the rotational slop between them because the copper washer is deformable and allows both to "dig in."
