Anyone put a Far-sight on to their Paragon mount or know if it is possible
Funny you should ask. We were just talking about that yesterday at Sky & Telescope since my boss (Rick Fienberg) is trying to do precisely that. The answer is that it's easy as long as you have a tame machinist. (Ours is called Dennis di Cicco.)
You can't do anything obvious because the FAR-Sight, like any normal bino adapter, has a threaded hole designed to accept a 1/4-20 screw coming up from the bottom, whereas the Paragon's adapter has two unthreaded holes designed to take 1/4-20 screws going down into a block with threaded holes.
Probably the easiest solution would be to drill a long hole straight through the Paragon's block between the two existing threaded holes, then insert a long 1/4-20 bolt through it. You could do that, with care, using a hand-drill and a vice, though a drill press would work much better.
Dennis is planning to make a male-to-male adapter out of a block of aluminum, but that's a much bigger job.
