My dark sky site is located in a public state forest. Near where I observe there is an old grave-yard. I assume it was used for those who died in the coal mines that were in the area. I usual set-up my scope about 200 yards from the grave yard, but I have to drive past the grave yard to get to my spot. My dad and I were backing up to our spot and our cars headlights shinned on the back part of the grave yard, and to my surprise my dad and I saw about 4 or 5 figures dressed in gray cloaks. I do not know what they were, what they were doing there, and I did not care to find out. I still setup my scope and then figures did not bother my dad or I.
