I did not get a chance to peek through the 8mm ethos, he went to the guy set up next to me but clouds rolled in (10pm to 11:30ish). We tried to view M13 through sucker holes but to no avail. Al stopped by my scope first but I had my illuminated reticle eyepiece in it for drift alignment, so he walked on, otherwise I would've been user #2 I joked that drift alignment = run away!
Al and Judy Nagler stopped by before leaving the park on Saturday night so the focuser of my 4" Tele Vue refractor was the last one to hold the 8mm Ethos. We observed a few DSOs, including M11 and M27, which looked quite nice at 68x, before they departed.
Quote: I too noted the coyotes Wednesday night, a first for CSSP for me. And those owls! Yikes they wouldn't shut up!
Ah, the children of the night. What music they make.
