I wish i was still a kid. I used to live in Lakeview, OR. Which isn't that far from Adin. That's when i learned to love astronomy from my High School science teacher who had a love himself and convinced the schoolboard to fund a 1 semester class on "Rocket Science". We spent 1 quarter on rockets and the other on astronomy.
I only bring this up to state that anyone who has a chance to go to this should definitely do so. It's a lovely area with amazingly dark sky, something that is getting harder to find. I remember looking through my teacher's 4" refractor (don't remember what brand, we never discussed, only that he spent about $5,000 dollars on it and the mount, and this was in early 90's cash) and the views were just as good or better then what i see in my 12" reflector these days simply because of the light pollution i have to live with.
