The impression I get when looking at this image is one of Passion and this Passion is flowing out of your love for the subject matter. I personally feel when looking at the image is one of mass activity and a sense of being there in space and touching the wild Sunspot this is something no image from a Camera can do BUT observing wise you can get that feeling so in essence your sketch to me at least is closer to being by the Telescope and observing than a Photo can ever do.
I prob sound Mad but there ya go this is my impression of this fine work.
