I can't do any better than recall a post on these binoculars here by StarStuff1 (found with Google) on Jan 4, 2006 (that post helped me to purchase them):

Some might think that at 2.3X you would not see much but that person would be wrong. Get the inter-pupillary distance right, focus for each eye and BANG, supervision.
