Hi all,
M31 in my current area is great on about three nights a year. I aways train ANY binocular on it to just see how good the night is likely to be.
Another poster mentioned the Mirador 7x50. I had one a while back but donated it to a local club. I sure enjoyed it, especially whilst up camping in central New York.
My best views of M31 was had way up in the northern part of New York, at yet another camping ground. But then, the aurora came on strong and ruined the whole thing. Yea, right! That, too, was very impressive that night in such great skies. Oh well, just my recollections.
Best regards, Dave.
