I find my Celestron 25x100 to be perfectly good for daytime use. Chromatic aberration is not that objectionable. What might be more problematic for really long distance viewing on sunny days is the swirling, shimmering atmosphere, which makes the scene look kind of like you're seeing it through boiling water. However, individual focus can be a bother if you often shift to targets at varying distances.
