Thanks Trail and George:
Quote:
The manual for your scope can be found at: http://www.binoculars.com/images/pdf/MEAD277.pdf
If you look at the menu for the Autostar on p. 24 you'll see that the LX90-ACF menu does not list the Calibrate Sensors function although it is discussed on p. 29. In your Autostar menu, cursor down from Object to Event to Guided Tour and on down to Setup. Hit Enter. From there you can cursor down just past Reverse Up/Dn. If you have the option for Calibrate Sensors, then it will be the next option that you can cursor down to. If you don't, then the next entry you see will be Quiet Slew. (I have the LX200 and it took me a while in the menu to finally find it.) Good luck.

Well, the problem is not the manual, the problem is that when I go to the telescope settings the "calibrate sensors" option doesn't appear. It could be due to what GeorgeNC says:
Quote:
I had that same problem with my 10" LX90. The cause was that I had disconnected the LNT module. If that module is disconnected, the Calibrate Sensors command doesn't come up. I reconnected the LNT module and was able to calibrate the sensors.
But, the LNT module was perfectly connected because I tried to calibrate sensors after the scope aligned in equatorial mode perfectly. It has to be something wrong with the firmware or the like, but that is a problem since I haven't got the cable and I don't feel like buying it. My laptop hasn't got a serial port anyway.
Vendor is missing. I'll have to wait a few days, I'm going to travel for five days, so as soon as I come back I'll try it in the 4M forum. Hope somebody has had this problem and solved it. (Does this sound evil? ) Regards, Fernando
