Cherry Springs State Park Mentioned on S & T Site
      06/27/08 12:05 PM

Pennsylvania's Cherry Springs State Park's status as the IDA's second International Dark-Sky Park is mentioned in the current edition of Sky & Telescope's Weekly Bulletin. Unfortunately, the article switched the astronomy clubs responsible for the two star parties at the park.

"Cherry Springs State Park is located in a sparsely populated section of north-central Pennsylvania.
Maps.comTwo sizable annual gatherings — the Cherry Springs Star Party (hosted by Central Pennsylvania Observers) and the Black Forest Star Party (Astronomical Society of Harrisburg, PA) — help the area attract thousands of amateur astronomers annually."

The Astronomical Society of Harrisburg hosts the Cherry Springs Star Party.
