I've used an compressor for years on lens objectives, corrector plates ,mirrors, and eyepieces without issue.
I do regularly drain my compressor of water in the bottom though. Amazingly, many people with air compressors are not aware of the water that accumulates in them.
My eyepieces are more commonly blown clean with the Giotto rocket, ' Great product.
