I know the feeling. It is so nice to use a well-collimated bino, so easy on the eyes. More important, it's difficult to be unhappy about all the many other things that can be wrong with a binocular (proving yourself to be a true bino nut) unless you can look through it long enough and hard enough to begin to see the deeper problems! The Steiner sounds very interesting. It probably won't have adjustable prisms, but eccentric mounted objectives.
