Hi All, as Lew knows we loaded it in my van and Steves SUV.. It was not untill later when Steve weighed the mount base alone at 400 and some pounds that I was suprized that we loaded it by hand. I dont know if Steve has estimated the total assembled gross weight but I would guess it to be around 1200 to 1300 lbs.. Monster Classic Goto.. All that for a 6 pound hunk of glass!! Well we will be loading it up next month on the first weekend for its first trip to a real sky!! Mount Pinos at 8500 feet should be a treat.. Cant wait!! Happy 4th****** The birthday of the best country on our little blue marble in space!!! so this is what living on a BB is like!!!
