Thank you Rony and Frank. At the time of drawing I began with detail but the rising sun made each scene fade too fast. Hence, the lack of detail in the crescents. But I noticed the trees in both cases because the color came alive in the early desert sun. Only afterwards, thinking on the lady I mentioned in the commentary, did I see the sketches together--linked by the physical transition and the greenery but then also by the life of one drawing to a close. These things together made the sketches strong but it was not premeditated. Most interesting to me and caused me to think.
As I say often, it was reason to give thanks.
